Equestrian Varsity Victory for the Second Year Running

In News by Susannah Boddie1 Comment

The equestrian team finish off their season in style, remaining undefeated and beating O*ford at Varsity. The team of Susannah Boddie, Clark Glasgow, Kate Branley and Holly Mason excelled in the dressage and everyone finishing without penalties. This tactful riding on quite excitable horses meant the team were trouncing the dark blues heading into the jumping.

A full up track saw a few poles fall, as the horses tired. Because of this, it all came down to the final jumping round. Clark Glasgow saved the day with a stylish clear to clinch the win by just 6.5 penalties! Not only did he save the day, but he also finished up first, while Kate Branley came in second, close on his heels.

This was the inaugural year of holding the Varsity competition at Windsor which was an amazing experience and drew quite a crowd. The atmosphere certainly added to the challenge but the light blues were undeterred to take the win. For a second year in a row the equestrian team have taken the triple victory over O*ford, with the 2nd and 3rds Varsity taking place last term.

Fingers crossed they will be just as successful next year!
